person和people的区别与用法

意思有区别：

person的解释为：n. 人；身体；容貌，外表；人称

people意思为：n. 人；人类；民族；公民；vt. 居住于；使住满人

用法有区别：

person因为指的是一个一个的人，是个体，有复数（persons）；而people是集体名词，本身表示“人/人们”的时候就是复数，没有单数，只有当它表示民族的时候有a people（一个民族），two peoples（俩个民族），才有单复数。

例如：

What can you do with a person like that?

碰上这么一个人，你有什么办法?

The wronged persons had been righted.

受到冤枉的人们都得到了 *** 。

If hiring more persons means higher costs for employee benefits, then the corresponding laws would have to be changed.
